Hello, ladies and gentlemen!

Welcome to your first day of your Sophomore Year!   I am excited to start off the year, and to help you on your high school journey.   Through exploring old and new classics,  we will connect to four major themes throughout the year.  Another major focus of this year is to ensure that you are prepared to write clearly and effectively.

Please, take some time to get acquainted with this website.  The course objectives sheet (which was handed out in class) will always appear in the top right.  You can download a Microsoft 2003 version anytime to check policies and expectations throughout the year.  Please, also take a look at the resources page.  It includes some of my favorite sites to help you throughout the year.

This blog will serve multiple purposes.  I will update this everyday by the end of the school day.  Through this  blog:
  1.  You or your parents/ guardians can contact me at anytime if you have questions or concerns.
  2. You will see up-to-date information on what we have done in class, as well as what is for homework.
  3. You can check out the resources page which includes homework help as well as websites to help you write in this class.
  4. If you are absent from class,  you can download the handouts you missed, as well as receive instructions on your homework.
  5. Sometimes, I will post videos, articles, or other supplemental resources that I will ask you to read or write on for homework.
