- Students were given the Coming of Age Poetry Packet
- Students read and discussed the following poems: "On My First Son," "My Papa's Waltz," "Before the Birth of One of her Children," "The History Teacher," and "Cross."
- Students discussed and focused on how the poems successfully used poetic devices, what the literal and figurative meanings of the poems were, as well as how they connected to our quarterly theme of coming of age.
- Weekend Homework: Read and annotate "Out, Out--" by Robert Frost
