In-Class-
  • Students took a pop quiz on Medieval section (5 points)
  • Students worked in groups on their Medieval Presentations
  • Students split up into 5 groups.  Each group needed to make bulleted list on the important information of the section as well as provide a visual aid to illustrate information.  Students are graded on the quality of their information, presentation, and visual aid.
  • Homework:  Prepare for Medieval Presentation


Tuesday: 11/13
  • Students presented Medieval Presentation (20 points)
  • Students read and took notes on p. 187 "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight"
  • Students read Ch. 1 of "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight"
  • Homework:  Finish Classwork

  • Focused on the ideas that their application essay should be personal, descriptive, and set the students apart from other applicants.
  • Teacher handed out Application Writing Assignment
  • Students brainstormed on Application Essay Topics
  • Homework: Rough Draft Due Tomorrow


Thursday:  11/08/2012
 
Monday:
  • Students worked in the computer lab on their Resumes.
  • Students need to print out a copy of their Resume for tomorrow's class.


Tuesday:
  • Students went over the Resume Checklist and peer reviewed each other's resumes
  • Teacher also passed back and went over the Anglo-Saxon Literature Test, Beowulf Response Paper, and a small pop quiz
  • Homework:  Students need to bring in their final draft of their resume with corrections tomorrow
